DolphMaps is a startup idea that was based on creating map layovers & directories for chamber of commerces who have their own custom maps of the city.
This was a startup idea who had a concept that they wanted to employ on their website, but they had no existing technology other than a map generator.
DolphMaps worked directly with me to build out a scope of work where everything was first wireframed and then directly created within WordPress.
DolphMaps utilizes Google Maps for the base map layover which is then laid over with a custom WordPress file. The build then has a number of directory listings which members of the chamber can pay for to keep their listing active or to further customize it. The WordPress interface allows for the map files generated to be added to the WordPress site by zip file. The site utilizes maps generated by MapTiler to overlay onto WordPress. Thorough documentation was given to the client so that they could manage adding new chamber of commerce areas after the site was completed.
