It doesn’t matter what your business is, it is always a good thing to be at the top of Google searches. How often when we search online are we really going past the top three or four sites that pop up? What if your business could rank on the top one or two? It could really be a game changer for you and your business. There is a great deal that goes into SEO, but today I’m going to tell you how to rank for any keyword in Google.
SEO is ever changing, but heading into 2019 it is still very important to have a lot of good external signals to your site, or in other words, back links. Back links are any time another site links to your site. Google definitely takes these back links into account, however some are much more powerful than others.
The anchor text is one of the biggest factors in making you rate for a keyword. The anchor text is the words on the other site that form the link to your page. If the word or words that form the link are the same as what you are trying to rank with, it is extremely beneficial.
Don’t go to crazy right away though, if Google suspects that you are manipulating this they will penalize you. If you go about this in a smart way it will be an awesome tool in getting you a top ranked spot, however if you do this wrong it will be just the opposite.
One hack I have for you is to use https://kwfinder.com, and type in your chosen keyword in the find keywords spot. What you will see pop up is the top ten competitors you have for the ranking of this word. You will be able to see all of their ranking signals, how many links they have, as well as what anchor text they are using.
Basically, if your competitor has ten exact match links, you are going to want to have at least eleven. Furthermore, you are also going to want to have more total links than they do, all while making sure your exact match links are kept under thirty percent of your total links, in order to stay out of Googles radar.
Now this is not something you are going to be able to accomplish right away. If you are a new business you should be building these links slowly month by month, and if you have been around for a while you can move at a bit of a quicker pace and go week, to week. If you build these links too quick Google will catch on and penalize you for it.
As you can see this is no easy process and it will take some time. For this reason, I believe outsourcing is the best option for back link building. One great program I recommend is, https://www.thehoth.com/?aff=YAR5. They are affordable, do an awesome job, and you will also be able to control the anchor text.
In conclusion, quite a bit of work does go into ranking at the top for a keyword, and it is definitely a very delicate process, but with the proper plan and a strong foundation of SEO knowledge, it is very doable.
